Managing Board Members

The Managing Board jointly manages the company’s business, and consists of the following members with different expertise and areas of activity:

Mr. Evan Nicholson

Chief Executive Officer. (CEO)

Evan Nicholson, appointed as CEO of Balatro over a year ago, now oversees a global team of approximately 500 employees. Under his leadership, the company has expanded internationally, establishing offices in the UK, Italy, and several Nordic countries. Balatro’s portfolio currently serves over 220 institutional investors, with assets under management totaling around EUR 21 billion.

Catherine Bryan

Chief Financial Officer. (CFO)

Catherine Bryan joined Balatro as Chief Financial Officer following a rigorous selection by the company’s founders. A business management graduate with extensive CFO experience in the property sector, she has held similar roles across various firms. Her expertise spans international finance and capital markets, including managing finance and capital market operations for the European property companies of Fortress Investment Group in London.

Ann Mylander

Senior Managing Director

Ann Coffey Mylander serves as Senior Managing Director and Head of Fund Management at Balatro. Before joining, she led Rocksprings Management, where she was responsible for strategic direction, daily operations, and chaired the Investment Committees. Ann brings over two decades of experience in real estate investment banking, including her role as EMEA Head of Real Estate Investment Banking at Lehman Brothers, following a distinguished 22-year career in the field.

Steven Wojsik

Analyst

Steven began his career as a bank clerk at a local branch, but as he progressed, his initial enthusiasm turned to frustration upon realizing the inner workings of the banking system. Determined to take a different path, he left banking to pursue trading. It was Steven who championed the decision for our company to invest in Artificial Intelligence—an initiative that propelled us to a new level, surpassing all expectations.

Andrew Keen

Head Broker

Andrew Keen, a former Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) trader, began his journey as a clerk and impressively rose to floor trader in just nine months. Renowned as one of the world’s swiftest traders, he made a notable mark by earning $5 million during the 2007-2008 Financial Crisis. Keen pioneered one of the first live, online trading rooms, where he shares the options trading strategies behind his success. His dedication to personalized interaction and investor education has endeared him to a wide following of aspiring traders and investors.

Alexa Marilyn

Account Department

Alexa Marilyn is a vital part of Balatro’s finance team, bringing her expertise to the Accounting Department, where she oversees the financial transactions that support the company’s operations. With a degree in business management, she possesses strong financial management skills and, before joining Balatro, held similar roles in other companies, particularly in the property industry. Her extensive experience in international finance and capital markets adds significant value to the team, positioning her as an asset in Balatro’s continued growth.
